Where’s the law?
Some questions aren’t opinions — they have a citation. Can the Nation prosecute a non-Native? Who can see hiring records? Can housing be taken during a case? Ask, and volunteers research the actual law — the Code section, the statute, the case — and publish verified answers here, quoted and linked. If the law is unclear or unsettled, that gets said too: “it’s unclear” is a finding.

This isn't a passive interview archive — it's a consultation system. You ask; questions get reviewed, grouped, and tagged; and they shape who Cal and future community interviewers sit down with next.

- For the Labor Commission (NLC): How long does a verdict typically take, from filing to decision? What’s the current backlog? Lived one? Add your timeline →
- For ONLR: What’s the typical timeline for a charge, stage by stage? What’s the exact filing deadline, with the section cited?
