What it is
NTUA provides water, electric, gas, and internet across most of the Nation. Candidates in 2026 raised two concerns: rate hikes making utility costs unaffordable, and the utility-choice question — whether communities should be able to choose a different provider. No candidate cited the governing law or NTUA’s oversight structure.
NTUA is a tribally-owned enterprise reporting to the Council. Its rates and finances are not routinely published in plain language.
