What it is
Getting to a clinic requires gas money, a road, transportation, and sometimes a working phone. Water, housing, and roads are not separate from healthcare — they are its preconditions. Social determinants of health decide who stays sick: the things outside the clinic that shape whether care reaches a person. A community that lacks running water, passable roads, and reliable internet will have worse health outcomes regardless of what the clinic does.
