How to Register to Vote
Here’s the honest first thing: registration for the July 21 primary closed on June 11. If you missed it, you’re not voting in the primary — and you’re not out of the game. The general election is Tuesday, November 3, 2026, and it carries more than candidates: the proposed constitution referendum is on that ballot too. Registration for November is open right now.
The deadline that matters now
Register by Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 5:00 pm. After that, the November door closes.
Who can register
You must be at least 18, have a Navajo census number (issued by the Navajo Office of Vital Statistics), and register with your local chapter.
Where to register
At any Navajo Election Administration office — located at agency offices across the Nation. Registration is done in person.

What to bring
